Hello everyone, and thanks for downloading the JHM Studios' Big 7's Horn Pack! This horn pack is one of my personal favorites to date, and I believe you will enjoy it too! Included in this pack is an Old-Cast Nathan P5, from an ex-SOU GP38, for the High-Nose variant of the B36. The rest of the models have a New(er)-Cast Nathan P5, recored from an EMD GP30. There is also a special "Fouled Horn" edition. Details on this can be found in the corresponding folder. Installation for this pack is simple, and can be viewed below:
Installation Instructions:
Step 1) The first step is to open the "Sounds" folder located within this archive. Highlight all .wav files within this folder, and "Ctrl-C" to copy. Then navigate to the Big 7's horn folder, which is located at (Your Railworks Directory)\Assets\DTM\NS Big 7s\Audio\Horn. Hit "Ctrl-V" to paste, and
now all the sounds which the proxy's and bin's will look for are in the correct place.
Step 2) Open the "B36-7 (Hi-Nose)" folder located within this archive. Highlight all three files found here, and "Ctrl-C" to copy. Then, if it isn't still open, go back to the aforementioned directory, for the Big 7's "Horn" folder. Hit "Ctrl-V" to paste, and then when prompted to overwrite existing files, hit "yes" or "allow". The B36-7 High Nose horn has been installed.
Step 3) Open the "C36-7" folder located within this archive. Highlight all three files found here, and "Ctrl-C" to copy. Then, if it isn't still open, go back to the aforementioned directory, for the Big 7's "Horn" folder. Hit "Ctrl-V" to paste, and then when prompted to overwrite existing files, hit "yes' or "allow". The C36-7 and B36-7 (Low Nose) horn has been installed.
Step 4 (Optional) If desired, follow installation instructions for the "Fouled Horn" edition of the High-Nose B36. If you do not wish to install this horn (neither of the other two horns will be effected by this edition), then simply skip this step and move on to Step 5.
Step 5) Close up your directories, and then start Train Simulator. Once in game, go to the "Settings" button, and then "Tools". Hit "Clear Cache", and then restart the game when prompted. (Contrary to popular belief, clearing the cache will NOT disrupt any other mods you have installed, and is completely safe to use after installing any new mod).
Step 6) After the game has restarted, you can now test out the horns! Installation is complete!
