Hedborough Portal Test

A scenario for the Hedborough North route
of RailWorks 2012.

Description: the purpose of this scenario is
to demonstrate the possibility of using
portals to spawn AI trains in RW3. A total of
4 AI trains each should emerge from 2 different
portals and pass by the yard where the player
train is working.

Installation: The installation package was
created using the Train Simulator Packager.
To install the scenario, unpack the included
RWP file to a convenient location, such as the
desktop. Open Train Simulator and click the
Package Manager tab; if necessary, click the
Refresh button. With the Package Manager open,
click the Install button. Navigate to the
Portal_Test_01.RWP file, select it, and click
Open. The scenario package will install and
will be ready for immediate use.

NOTA BENE: In some test runs, the AI train that
delivers wagons to the yard area has crashed
after making its drop-off. This problem seems
to have been resolved, but saving the scenario
after the player engine returns to its home
track the first time and then continuing it
will avert a repeat of the crash; however, the
remaining AI trains will not emerge from their
portals.
