A switching scenario for VNHRR TS2014
::: A Thompsonville Run, Part 1 :::
a scenario for the VNHRR,
by Tom Pallen
=====================================================
Requirements:
To run this scenario, you must have the latest version
of Train Simulator and the Virtual New Haven RailRoad
Springfield Line (VNHRR) route installed on your computer.
=====================================================
Installation:
1) Launch TS Utilities
2) Select the "Package Manager" tab
3) Click on "Install"
4) Navigate to VNHRR_Thomp-1.RWP, select it, and
click on "Open"
[Note: you can select and install multiple RWP
packages in a single pass.]
=====================================================
Description: You're assigned to this evening's
Springfield - Thompsonville freight service run.
After making several pick-ups here, you'll head
to Thompsonville. You shouldn't have any problems this
evening, but keep in mind that your priority is low
on the totem pole.
=====================================================
Tips:
Brakes .....
If you're not familiar with the Alco RS-3 engine,
read "Operating the Train Brakes" in the VNHRR
Springfield Line Manual and practice driving before
attempting this scenario. I prefer using the engine
brake exclusively and occasionally resorting to
setting the brakes on one or more cars as well.
Turntable .....
Stop your engine as close to the middle of the
turntable bridge as possible and rotate the bridge
one stop at a time. Watching your engine wobble and
fall off the bridge is not an enjoyable experience!
Save/Restart .....
This scenario features AI traffic carefully tuned in the
editing and testing process. Restarting the scenario
after a save has sometimes led to AI crashes that have
not occurred when the scenario was run without such an
interruption.

Boilerplate:
Properly installed and run, this scenario should not
harm your TS installation or any other aspect of your
computer in any way, but if something goes wrong, the
responsibility is certainly not mine.
