Conrail ex-Thomasville RR
Modernized 50ft PS1 Boxcar
Reskin by Harry Adkins
This model is a Conrail patched ex-Thomasville Railroad reskin of Michael Stephan’s freeware 50ft PS1 Boxcar. I created this model as a Christmas present for my good friend, Thomas Pearce. Thomas has not only been a friend, he has patiently mentored me in the finer art of reskinning. The 40ft-PS1 base model can be downloaded at http://www.stephan-michael.de/railsim/packsrw/boxps150.html.
These ex-Thomasville RR X50c Boxcars were received by Conrail in the post-1985 bankruptcy. The Conrail shop forces spared no expense to throw black patches over the heralds and reporting marks in their haste to get these cars into revenue service. At least eight of these cars were rumored to still be running patched as late as 1990.
Special thanks goes to Michael Stephan for his excellent model and repainter’s package. If you have problems, post a message in the support forum at Railworks America. This package is released as freeware. You can do whatever you wish with it EXCEPT make money with its use.
