Installation:
The GP9 repaint requires the installation of Britkits01.zip (freeware) and Britkits01-Xtra.zip (payware) (worth the money) from britkits@dickyjim.com
Unpack and install the above packages following the instructions include in the readme.
The new assets will be placed in Assets\britkits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Default\ My assets will be placed in Assets\britkits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\GP9_HH_DRGW\
First Install ( 1-5 ) the freeware, then payware, then my files.
Download the 7-zip file to your computer. Once completed, find your downloaded file, and unzip the files into a temp folder.
1.Start Railworks Utilities and select the Package Manager tab.
2.Click on install, then navigate to the folder where you unzipped these files.
3.Select the .rwp file and click on open.
4.The package Manager will then install your new locomotive.
5.Verify that the file shows in the installed list on the left of the screen.

a.the file (GP9-p3-Hi-db_RW3.GeoPcDx) needs to be copied from Assets\britkits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Default\Engine\ into Assets\britkits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\GP9_HH_DRGW\Engine\
b. the file (GP9-Hi-cab-db-RW3.GeoPcDx) from Assets\Britkits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Default\CabView\ into Assets\Britkits\EMD\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\GP9_HH_DRGW\CabView
6.Start Railworks.
7.Select Editor.
8.Select the route where you wish to add the locomotive.
9.Select Scenario Editor.
10.Select a scenario at the top of the screen.
11.Select Edit scenario.
12.Once the scenario editor opens:
a.Click the left center flyout then click on the locomotive icon.
b.Click on the object filter (a small blue square with an orange triangle).
c.A flyout on the right of the screen will open.
d.Pull out the flyout and use the pulldown menu.
e.Find and click on 'britkits'
f.Click on the the 'EMD' box making sure that it is checked.
g.The locomotive will then appear in the list in the left center pullout as GP9 DRGW HH.

I did not like the way the loco operated.
Tractive effort is still 65,000 I reduced the DynBrk from 75,000 to a moderate 41,500 and no more wheel slip with 20% DB @ 50mph note: I installed a re-paint and the DB was re-set to 175,000 so I moved my files so this will not happen again. I kept most of the files in the default folder to reduce this and future re-paint file sizes down by me and anyone else. note: this is why the freeware files are required.
Please remember even those this file is free, the author still has rights to the file. Be sure to read the readme that is enclosed for further copyright information and instructions to install the file.
