This freeware SD40T-2 locomotive repaint has been made to be a generally accurate rendition of a Denver & Rio Grande Western SD40T-2 for the Soldier Summit Route DLC by Dovetail Games - Available Here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/370960/

 NOTE: Soldier Summit is REQUIRED for these repaints to work.

- Both CLEAN and WEATHERED Versions are included.

- The CLEAN version replaces the default locomotive, and improves on it in the following ways: a new alpha channel for slightly more shine, pilot/plow D&RGW orange instead of dirty yellow, and the short hood chevron striping spacing has been corrected.

- The WEATHERED Version is based on numerous photos of Tunnel Motors in the 1980-1990 era, and is hand painted. This is a standalone (separate) locomotive in-game, and can be run side by side the default/clean locomotive. Notable features: alpha channel modified on rear part of fuel tank to give the impression of fuel spilled during locomotive fueling (commonly seen on dusty surfaces). The wheel tread surfaces have also been noticably enhanced from default.

- Two Quick Drive Consists are also included.

INSTALLATION:
=============

1) Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit". Use a program like 7-zip, (available here: http://www.7-zip.org/) to open the SoldierSummitAssets.ap file.

2) Within the .ap file, navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Railworks\Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit\SoldierSummitAssets.ap\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40T-2\" and make a COPY the folder "Default".

3) Navigate out of the .ap file, and back to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Railworks\Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit\"

4) Inside the "SoliderSummit" folder, CREATE the following three folders: RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40T-2\

 Note: To confirm, you should now see this folder structure: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Railworks\Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40T-2\"

5) PASTE the copied "Default" folder (from step 2) inside the SD40T-2 folder you just created. Lastly, RENAME the "Default" folder to "Dirty".

6) Inside the newly created "Dirty" folder, you'll find a folder called "Engine". Delete "sd40T_2_sp_DRGW.bin" and "sd40T_2_sp_DRGW_nd.bin" from this folder.

7) Use the TS2015 Package Manager (located here: "(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Utilities.exe") to install the new locomotive textures. 
 
 Note: To do this, select the Package Manager tab, click on Install, and choose the file "D&RGW_Soldier_Summit_SD40T-2_v1.0x.rwp" from wherever you unzipped it.

That's it! Now when you launch TS2015 you'll notice the new CLEAN D&RGW SD40T-2 units as the default units, and you can find the new DIRTY units in the scenario editor as "[SS] SD40T-2 D&RGW Dirty" and "[SS] SD40T-2 D&RGW Dirty ND". You can also experience the Dirty units with the use of the included Quick Drive Consists on any Quick Drive enabled route.

These files will NOT work with any version of Train Simulator other than Train Simulator 2015, or possibly newer. No default files are overwritten or modified. Should you want to remove the repaint, please remove it with the Package Manager and then delete the folders you copied over.

You may use and redistribute them as long as they are free of charge, this readme is included in the package, and the original .rwp integrity is maintained - no changes are made to any of the files. You may NOT make money in any way with this package.
