As soon as you touch an engine control surface, you take control of the consist from that locomotive. Now you can touch other stuff, like the horn, lights, windows, doors, etc. We made things complicated but not so complicated that you have to start each loco, though it could probably be done.

Oh, I see. I got this habit after Reppo's GP20, where each engine is independent, and need to be started individually .

Unless something has changed from the beta version to the release version, the gen field slider switch on the control stand can be in the down position and the locomotive will start.
