I hadn't heard this name in more than 30 years.
I just got hit by a flood of memories.

surprisingly enough they found a box of locos from the G&D back in 2008 they were recovered after the fire that destroyed the layout and are in excellent condition considering what they went through. I will have to find the link to the site again

Lets be careful here. I recently read that John Allen's estate threatened somebody with legal action for using the Gorre & Daphetid name. Some people apparently have a lot of time on their hands. Sorry, I don't remember the particulars or what the product was. Anyway, all the guy wanted to do was pay tribute to a legendary model railroader, but instead he had to rename the product and rebuild his web site.

The prices will be very reasonable as the money is to help offset the costs of the server. If you set $3 a side a month for the next few months you will be in good shape.

It's a strange thing but there are several areas where you need to tread lightly when our hobby interfaces with the model railroad division. Kalmbach is a good example, very protective of anything they do and while I have seen a "Hungry Horse" route produced in one of the other sims I've always been a bit cagey about using any of their track plans to expand into a virtual route. That also goes for layouts like the V&O or the Allegheny Midland, would be lovely to do but not if it means getting sued. :) The County Gate etc. fictional extensions to the old UK Lynton & Barnstaple are another example - when I chatted to the guy responsible about the possibility of using the idea for a virtual railway, he didn't rule it out but I got the impression it all would have had to be done in a certain way and in line with their creative story. So that went out the window.

Anyhow back on topic, new route looks very good and one which will be well worth a look when it's done.

Another item that we need to hint at GreatNortherner to update. A little while back, I found some really good detail pics and sent them to him. The HH was a bonus item hidden in my 'Mt Hood RR'.

Its an msts conversion. As for Toms model we hope to get that done soon as well. I have a few more coming your way if your working with Tom !**duh*!!

You realize I am the creator of the model, hence why I said "I have an H10-44 BLLW is keeping hostage."
