I've made it to 110mph on the NEC before. Perhaps it's the track rule. Zoom in on the right screen and see what mph the overspeed is set to. It should say 100mph, that would be why. For some reason on the NEC it turns to 110mph for me and I do get up to 111mph.

Edit: Let me make a test run on NEC and see what happens.

Bad news: Same deal on NEC. I think I know why this happens, though. I notice that on the screen that it says the locomotive only is producing ~2250HP. Well, in a case where you had two P42DC's, only one would be producing HEP. Basically in railworks due to the way the locomotives are setup, you're only getting around 4500hp simulated per trainset (2 P42DC's) where it should really be about 6500hp. Perhaps this is what the deal is? In that case, RSC is a bitch.

The indicated track speed has nothing to do with top speed. Make a section of track set to 5 mph and tell me if that's all you can go. If he wants more top end, it's in the simulation file, but I've ticked him off now so he won't respond.

I don't know where this feud between us started, but let's end it now. Anyway, I edited the simulation bin and changed the top speed to 140. In game, with 2 P42's (Vermonter style) the train made 111.3 I am happy! So. Thank you Walter.

Is there any way to change the horsepower instead? To me that'd be more realistic. Change each locomotive to 3250hp so that it equals to the 4250+2250 from Non-HEP/HEP configuration?

Your very welcome Nathan, and yes you can change the horsepower if you wish. Same place.

I've been dinking with the physics in making a HEP and not-HEP version.
HEP is current.
Non-HEP is 4250 HP, and has different engine sounds reflecting the full throttle curve from 0-8.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but how do I disable to over-speed setting that won't let me go over 100mph without beeping? I got to 111mph without touching anything, just 2 P42s, and 5 amfleets. but when I got over 100 i had to keep pressing the alerter cause of the dang overspeed setting! **!!bang!!** *!!thnx!!*
