SD40-2 CN Wide Nose Add-On Not showing in game

Unread postby hminky » Sat Nov 24, 2012 5:38 pm

I bought this item:

Train Simulator 2013 SD40-2W WideNose Locomotive Debundle

It doesn't show in the game or in my DLC list in steam.

If I click on the bundle in the route editor it doesn't show up and the entry disappears.

The files are there for the locomotives in the RSC directory.

Done the usual delete cache etc. even deleted local content and reloaded sim. E-mailed support and got the canned response.

Anyone else have this problem, fortunately I can replace them with RW-Tools in Scenarios.
The Wide Nose shows up in RW-Tools under RSC but if I replace another loco with one it doesn't show in the Scenario.

Thank you
Harold

I don't see that one or the High Nose NS SD40.

Their pictures show in the "Collection" but selecting either gives two "Missing Texture" pictures and a blank scenario list.

I have the High Nose that I bought before showing in the game but get the "Missing Texture" pictures in the "Collection".

I have an absolutely identical problem to the one Harold described, and I also contacted support who hasn't gotten back to me yet. I have been playing around with the files and everything else, getting nowhere, but I will keep trying and let you know if I find anything. **!!bang!!** **!!bang!!** **!!bang!!**

The High Nose actually works in-game, butt the Wide Nose does not. There is a folder in the Asset directory though.

The SD70ACe "Rio Grande and UP" addon does not even have an asset folder, even though I bought it and downloaded it. Logically, no train appears in-game either. Funny enuff, the SD70ACe and SD70MAC from BNSF does show up and works as intended, butt it was in another DLC pack (BNSF and War-Bonnie only).

Meow. :(

Train-sims are the only genre where this CRAP exists.

Imagine a Call-of-Duty DLC not showing up after users pay for it. The franchise would be kaput.

Too bad it looks so nice. Geez, gotta clear and/or verify my cache.

Tiresome rolling that cache stone up the hill and see it roll back down. I really want to like this game.

Sorry it will always be Failworks. Too bad it looks so nice. Geez, gotta clear and/or verify my cache.

Now drum-roll for fanboy comments that there is nothing wrong with this franchise.

Harold, you hit on it exactly.

I bought two British Add-ons.

Running one I got a "blue screen", had to clear cache to finish.

Woodhead Line with the passenger locomotive Addon crashed while in the first tunnel. Cleared cache, verified cache Nada. Accidentally hit ESC and the scenario "unfroze".

Inexcusable for "in-house" product. Not a very relaxing hobby.

Harold

EDIT: RSC should donate a million bucks to Mike Simpson for making Railworks bearable.

Not to be ornery, but it seems to be my lot in life lately, however you guys trashing RSC for these problems getting these locos to show up....I didn't do anything special just went looking for them to see what was going on and here they are.

These files are dated from 11/12 for the high nose so I am presuming they are the new version. Is there any other way to tell?

Hi

It looks like the Saturday or Sunday update 'fixed' the Collection display problem. These two locos now don't appear in my Collection list.

GaryG

For Clarification: They don't appear in the Collection list but are still available for use in the Assets. :-) I guess no scenarios I have are using them.

So it's YOU who stole our locos.
