Making a A.I. in the first rail Simulator? How?

Unread postby ManoelBlack5 » Mon Aug 27, 2012 8:36 pm

Hello all! I am wanting some help, I still play the first Rail Works, the original Rail Simulator. I saw that in some scenarios, for example the Swift and Delightful, there are computer-controlled trains.
But I can not, I do not know how to create them. I do not know how to do computer-controlled trains for my scenario. So I need your help.
I am awaiting. Thanks in advance!

Navigate to this folder on your Railworks install computer:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Manuals\EN

There is a PDF manual there titled "RW Timetable View Manual_Web." It is a great starter resource for writing scenarios and creating AI trains. I'm not sure if that particular file is available in your native language, but there are several different languages available.

Also, do a search through this forum. There are several simple tutorials that will help get you started. If you're not comfortable with English, there are many other forums/websites available in many different languages. Keep on looking!

This is not necessary, I understand English.
But is that the case is not officially Rail Works, which will still buy, but the first, the original Rail Simulator.
Already searched, but only found tutorials on Rail Works, and I need the Rail Simulator. Create an AI in Rail Works is very easy, but in Rail Simulator not see options for this, and I'm not understanding how some scenarios have AI
So I need help.
Regards,
Manoel Victor.

You're right, Manoel, the Timetable Editor did not exist in Rail Simulator. I wrote scenarios for that version, but have since forgotten most of the techniques. This forum existed under a different name at that time, as did TrainSim.com, and you might try searching for Rail Simulator in both ... perhaps some old posts still exist. There also used to be some tutorial videos for RS, so search YouTube as well. There are still 36 scenarios for RS listed at TrainSim.com ... try downloading some of them and looking at them in the editor. Wish I could be more helpful.

Back then it was known as RailSim America. When I transitioned to RailWorks America, I kept all the old posts, but they're buried pretty deep by now.

I looked at everything on youtube, google, but just think of the Rail Works, rail simulator not found.
I went into the scenario editor Swift and Delightful, I went to where the train was controlled by the computer, but found nothing, no destiny, no marks, just the icon with the train driver and the properties tab name only. I run the scenario, to see the final destiny of the train, he stopped at a place with no brand, nothing to indicate the destination, or the coordinates made for him. There is difficult, I do not know how to create a A.I.
I'm thinking that this must be done outside the game. How, I do not know.

Trainsim.com still has a section about Rail Simulator, with a message forum with around 3K posts in it.
UKTrainsim.com still has a Rail SImulator forum, with even more posts.

I doubt anyone is still using the game, but presumably you can search these forums.
