3D Modeling Classes!

Unread postby Hawk » Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:15 pm

Just a short note to let y'all know that we've moved the classes to it's very own forum. It's right below this one and called, appropriately, 3D Modeling Classes. !*salute*!

Oops! I forgot to delete this thread. *!embar*!

After they were moved to their own floor of the building it seemed like folks couldn't find the classrooms, so we moved it back to the original section of the building. *!greengrin!*

Summer vacation? What do you think this is, some kind of regular school? !*roll-laugh*!

And I thought Rich had deleted them because of a lack of interest here. I would love to help out with day 3, but I have absolutely no idea of the functions he wants to have explained. And the easiest are gone *!embar*!

There are still a few items left from Day 2. Not saying you should do them, but everything I posted in there I learned from doing the tutorials built in to 3D Canvas. Try building the whale in the tutorials and you will learn a lot and be amazed.

Sorry, I got slammed no sooner than I posted day 3. And worse, there was a death in the family (like the following day or close to that), a pet cat that bore a very close resemblence to the character John Malkovich played in the movie, In The Line Of Fire. Psychotic doesn't explain this cat enough, but in his own way he was a loveable cat.

Anyway, all kinds of issues came up that needed taking care of that involve my business amongst other things. And I moved on temporarly from working on the steel mill and onto working on the route. I'm like an ostrich when I'm working on a route. When I loked in, I got the impression Day 3 killed the enthusiasm but I don't know why. Eventually I asked Ed to move the threads back into here thinking maybe folks didn't know where the classes had gone.

I would imagine most of the class members have dispersed for now thinking the class lost enthusiasm so I haven't a clue what to tell you guys. Start doing Day 3 and maybe folks will return?

I hope you don't kill it! I for one have been incredibly busy and just got caught up enough to start following it again. Slow and steady!

I'm still on the starting line and only backed off a little from the explanation of symbols to give some of the other new starters a go at what was left in #2.
I have been playing with converting some of my MSTS TSM stuff over as an extra learning curve.
