Route Marker question

I fire up RW and get my coordinates and start up RW_Tools and make a named route marker but it doesn't show up after I restart RW. I deleted the *.pak files and still nothing. I'm running Win7 if this makes a difference.

I had this issue when setting up my Potash route, was saving kml file and re-running RW Tools and the blueprint editor all to no avail and getting more and more annoyed as the markers [i]were[/] listed in the relevant flyout but not appearing.

Found that in order for the route markers and flags to appear, in addition to ticking RailSimulatorUS as a provider on first loading the new route (to get the US terrain) when you go back in, you need to tick RailSimulator too, as the assets to display the text and flags are in the original UK/Europe folders.

If they still don't appear, exit the editor to the world, press F6 and then Ctrl-E to go back in, remembering to select the display marker function from the bottom RHS flyout. You might need to rinse and repeat this a couple of times.

Thanks but that didn't do it either. Anybody have this working in Win7? In Vista I didn't have any trouble.
