You can read all about CCleaner at their web site, and download it from there too.

Thanks, Will do, I'll let you know how it goes. Is there anything else I should save from the Steam folder so I don't run into any "verify I'm who I am " problems?

I still get the "Duplicate Dialog ID" error, I really don't want to have to reinstall Railworks and then have to "build" it back up with all the add-ons and mods again. !*hp*! Did you have to do the Railworks reinstall or do you think just saving the SteamApps folder and only reinstalling Steam would work?

No, Steam did the reinstall for me...but...only after I had to go through a draconian routine of proving my original ownership of the game! Uninstalling the Game and the Steam software apparently eliminates an identification file that Steam sees that indicates you authentically own the game. The routines and fights I had with Steam I wish on NOOOOOOOOOOOBODY! !*hp*!

And Railworks support was absolutely no help at all! I told then that "you guys have absolutely no idea what you are doing!" That is why I had to take the drastic steps I did.

But you might try this, although to get it to completely clean your register, RegZOOKA, a highly recommended registry cleaning tool, you will have to purchase it (about $29.00.) This may work to eliminate your error. That is what I used after I uninstalled Railworks. I have no idea if this will really work or not, but it is something you can try... **!!bow!!**

ON EDIT: I think the identification file is within the Steam folder and not in the Railworks folder per se. I also think I attempted to unistall Railworks only, and have Steam reinstall it for me, to no avail, I still had those errors. *!sad!*

It was uninstlling both Steam and the Railworks programs that got me into trouble, although it seemed to work when I finally gain reinstatement by Steam and RW3 was installed trouble free... !*brav*!

No, once you reinstall the Steam client, just log in with your user name and password. That should be fine. Then paste the "steamapps" folder into Steam. Save games are all in the Documents folder.

I have a lot of Steam Games that would take days to re-install. That's why I wanted to save my SteamApps folder. Gonna try only the Steam re-install and see if that works.

Nothing to be sorry about. Otto has a lot of friends over at TrainSim. I'm not one of them though. !*roll-laugh*!

Well, saving my SteamApps folder, uninstalling Steam, running CC cleaner, rebooting and reinstalling Steam and copying my SteamApps folder back did not fix my "Duplicate Dialog ID" error. !*hp*!
I am currently trying a uninstall of Railworks and a reinstall of Railworks. I'm out of ideas if this doesn't work. !*don-know!*

NO joy. A clean install of both Steam and Railworks failed to fix the "Duplicate Dialog ID" error. !*!grrr!*! I may have to figure out how to get my old RW2 install to work. !*hp*!
