Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

Classy trains and a classy lass!
Too bad no one seems to focus on the "quality" of the people sims we have to choose from within the simulator.

Neat one. The advertising folks knew how to set things up. Casual dress while enjoying the sights in a dome. Usually, they have the models dressed to the max. ATSF sure had class.

Just found out about the Omega Railmaster watch. As I was doing some research on it, I came across this vintage ad. Combines my love of trains and watches.

November 1983:

KENTON, Ohio -- The International Car Co., once a leading maker of railroad cabooses, has closed its Kenton plant.

As recently as 1981, the plant employed nearly 200 workers, but most of the work force was laid off when the closing was announced this week by Paccar, International Car's parent firm.

The company said the demand for rail cars was at a 'historic low' and predicted a sharp reduction in the demand for cabooses.

Paccar said it would move its Kenton operations to its Pacific Car and Foundry Co. in Renton, Wash.

International Car was founded in Kenton in 1924 as the New City Car Co. and began specializing in cabooses in 1941.
