Embarrassingly enough, even though I've already released the route I've been tinkering with adding more details and whatnot to parts of the route. It's just like a model railroad: you're always tinkering. There's definitely some industrial space that would make these Semis feel at home

Want to put this one on the route.

The 1985 Lamborghini Countach from the Cannonball Run.

I'll go ahead and upload it to the file library here at RWA.

Alright, I caved.

All these fantastic models from jpetersjr, all these repaints from Buzz and some coming down the pipe from others, I couldn't resist.

I'm trying my hand at a branchline in Vermont on the west end (based on the Woodstock Railroad) and a smaller branch to the east (based on the Suncook Valley). It isn't uncommon for shortlines up here to have multiple, disconnected routes.
I had only stopped route building for a little bit but I ought to say, I missed it when I started doing it again.

Thankfully the branch south of Branford is pretty much 2/3 of the way done, while the one in VT has its tracks laid down along with its connection to the rest of the railroad through the NECR.

What can I say: when I start tinkering, I can't stop! !!*ok*!!

I'm always tinkering. There are few routes that I haven't "tinkered" with, I'm so busy tinkering that I rarely get anything done. !*roll-laugh*!

The branchline in the southeast is done. I also added the two new branches to the route history. Here's some pics of the first branch.

Onto the other branch, though. You folks ever hear about an upside-down covered bridge?

Seems to counter the idea of why covered bridges were built in the first place, but I think they look cool. So I used jpetersjr's design and gave it a go.

Personally, I think it looks neato. Still no idea why one would make a covered bridge upside-down, though...

Unfortunately most likely that wouldn't be structural, it wouldn't be solid enough for the weight of a train.

I thought the same thing until I looked into it. As it turns out, the section that’s “covered” contains much of the structural support for the bridge.

My inspiration in the picture is the Sulphite Covered bridge in Franklin NH. The lack of the covering gives a better idea of what it looks like underneath

A very weird design to me. I think I’d have to look into it more to find out what the benefits were

Anyways, the route is looking good.

I probably won't be able to run it however, most likely I don't have the needed payware routes that it will require.

There was (probably still is) a similar looking structure carrying the Illinois Central line over the Rock Island and South towards the Illinois River on the east side of La Salle, Il next to the cement works there. I have been looking for a structure like this for the route (one of many!!) I have as a WIP. The line used to run from Mendota to Bloomington and is still in use providing access to a cement works South of the river. So it's not as weird as it may appear.
