Where is this in relation to the tracks? Will anyone ever see it?

It appears on the first photo that the tracks are right behind the hotel/resort looking place.

It's right next to the track. The "hotel/resort" thing is actually super luxury apartments.

Looking for some opinions. I'm strongly considering releasing this route on here as a thank you for all the support over the years.

That being said...
I'm thinking of making some minor changes to the route. I am debating on using Scale Rails for the tracks and replacing what I'm using now (The Penn Coal Route/Marias Pass tracks) or just keeping what I have an moving forward. It would definitely help with continuity across the route. I think this also might free me up to make the route more true to life (since that's the whole point?). Any opinions?

HAHA! !*roll-laugh*! The hounds aren't quite ready to be released yet. Still trying to give them a decent looking place to play. I'll be releasing some update pics shortly.

Glad to hear this is almost done! I'd certainly recommend the switchover to SR track, but I'd recommend first backing up the route before you do so, maybe have an original version and an SR version?

Well I'm working on the SR version, but...I'm also retexturing things too. So...it's not "almost done" it's "marginally" done. !*don-know!*

Hey all,

So I decided to add a few projects happening on the Conrail portion to the route. I added the "Waverly Loop" and a few other things in the plan for the future. Hopefully this makes some operations a little interesting for everyone. I'll be posting some screenshots once I'm done.

Hi all,

I'm working on roads in the Newark area and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what roads I should use. I was trying to figure out what would give me the best options texturally. I have a lot of beat up roads that I need to do and I just couldn't figure out which to use. Anyone have any recommendation for roads in general? Like what roads offer the best options. I also have some major highways to do (Route 1&9, the NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, etc.).

Thanks!

In terms of local roads, I've found the Scale Roads pack to be really good for that. I think NJCL has some major highway stuff that works as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely put them to use.

One other question...
So I'm re-creating the Amboy Secondary from Port reading to Browns Yard in Sayreville. The catenary is taken down, but they left the catenary poles up or partially up to run regular power lines. I've ben trying to come up with a way to replicate that. Any ideas?

Thanks!

You could probably use the old NEC catenary poles if you wanted something aged, or the NJC NEC poles if you wanted to use a newer asset.

I'm using those already, I'm trying to figure out how to do catenary with just one electrical connection. The sawed off some of the power lines on the "H" catenary poles so only one side has power cables...You can see it in this pic I found:

So I'm trying to figure out how to do that without it looking weird.
