A Thorny Matter issue

Unread postby EliteMarksman » Fri Aug 12, 2011 2:34 am

I seem to be having an issue with the A Thorny Matter scenario on the Barstow-San Bernadino route.

When I try to couple the coil cars (4th set, i think), my train just goes right through them. I would get a screenshot, but I can't figure out where Steam save them...

I tried restarting the route and the game, and neither worked. Anybody have any ideas?

Maybe this helps: Try to clear the blueprint cache when starting railworks. This function can be found under "Tools and Docs". Had the same issue on another scenario.

I believe RW saves screenshots in My Documents\My Pictures, unless you have that cloud crap enabled, then they're probably out there somewhere in Internet land. *!greengrin!*

When you take the screen shot and then close out of the game, the window comes up with the screen shots in it. You just click on show on disk and they will come up. Once you get them to open you can check the location where they are being saved on your computer

Is that how it works if you have the cloud stuff enabled? It doesn't do that for me and I don't have that cloud stuff enabled.
When I take an in-game screenshot, it just automatically saves them to the My Pictures folder.

I just use FRAPS. The free version lets you take screen shots, also shows frame rates. Paid version lets you record movies. !!*ok*!!

I tried clearing the blueprint cache, and that allowed me to couple the coil cars. However, when I try to couple the next set of boxcars, the coil cars just go right through. I let the train keep rolling down the siding at 5mph, and when I got to the barricade at the end of the siding, the coil cars went right through it and dropped to the ground, prompting the derailing message. When the train derailed, the cars "inside" the boxcars and the boxcars themselves both popped off the track...

Hiya,

Use CTRL+S to save files as a .PNG to your "My Pictures" folder. After that you need to convert it to a jpg but then you will be good.
