I don't have TSW2 but I image this swiss route must be beautiful.

So very, very beautiful.

Mountains have a slight draw distance issue, which isn't ideal when most of the route is composed of them. Also, for an alpine route it has awfully few trees. TSW absolutely can handle more, just look at Clinchfield, but Rivet has elected not to utilize this. If you really want the route, you're better off getting the TS version.

I have the TS version and you are right from the pictures they filled the TS version well compared to this. That is depressing. I was hoping for a good reason to get TSW2 I guess I'll keep waiting.

It's a shame that these companies are now focussing more on Quantity rather than Quality

It's the DTG business model.

Is this Rivet's first venture in TSW2 routes? Perhaps the landscape and scenery has been contracted out?

All these independents have to get their own grips on UE4 and TSW2.

Given that Thomson also made Rhatische Bahn DLC for TSxx, one can expect many more DLC on this railroad.

It's shame these creators are constantly under personal attack. I'm sure that encourages them to continue their work.

They work for money, not personal praise and fame.

If they deliver a product that satisfies the customer first time round, there will hardly be complaints. Rivet nor the other independents aren't exactly newby's in content creation.

One can hope, they learn from mistakes and critique and deliver a patch and improve their future releases.

I hope whatever you do for a living isn't just for money. If it is you are missing a major thing of value in your life.

It's rivet's second TSW route and third TSW DLC release overall, their first product was a DB class 204 locomotive for TSW1, iirc they got the trucks the wrong way around and never fixed it. Rivet's next release was the Isle of Wight for TSW2, they somehow managed to make the 8 mile long route look nothing like the route irl, and the EMU included was buggy to say the least.

Oh come on Buzz, surely even you can't look at that and say it's acceptable quality for 30 dollars. Their advertising claims "Highly detailed and authentic recreation of the Arosalinie between Chur and Arosa". At best that is a publisher forcing devs to release a product too soon, and at worst that is just blatant laziness because they know people like you will still buy it and defend them to high heavens no matter what. Just look at the reviews for it. Clearly people are dissatisfied across the board with this offering, yet here we go again with the forcing praise no matter what. Nothing will ever change from DTG if people keep buying the same flaws over and over again.

I feel the same way every time I comment here... I don't see that as a personal attack at all. The fact that the customer can't have a say anymore is pathetic. How can anything improve if the flaws are not brought to light? Its pretty pathetic that we can't point out flaws anymore without someone taking offence to it...Remember, we are the ones paying for this product. If it doesn't meet the standards the consumer wants, we have every right to complain and desire more. Its a simple concept that many don't seem to understand. The producer is here to please the consumer and make a profit.

Drew what I am always trying to get across is there is nothing wrong with pointing out problems, errors or things that are not realistic. Sitting around and trashing the developer, the publisher or individuals accomplishes nothing. Can you not figure out how to point out things such as "distant objects are not rendering properly" without feeling the need to say "where was the beta testing?" or "Don't these people care about anything but money?" or "How can people keep putting junk like this out?" and on and on and on. How about writing a serious review pointing out the flaws without attacking anyone and then at the end say "Because of all these flaws I don't recommend the purchase of this (fill in the blank) because it has serious flaws ruining the enjoyment of the simulation?

I have the PC version and it is nothing like what is depicted in those screenshots.

I got TSW2 deluxe version in the Steam sale. For all of those moaning about graphics, you are lucky we still don't have Commodore 64 type graphics today and then you would have something to complain about. I started out on a Commodore 64 35 years ago and never do I complain about the graphics we have today goodness knows what we will have in another 35 years but sadly I won't be around to find out.
