Crash before the Main Menu

Unread postby CArailroader » Tue Feb 20, 2018 8:34 pm

TS18 was working fine about 25 mins ago. I take a quick break. Come back to start up only to find that it crashes in the loading screen before I even get to the main menu. So I started it up again with logmate and this is what I get:

[RunTimeError 5:30:24 PM] Trace mdump.cpp : 422 = error handlers have been set
[Content 5:30:24 PM] Trace cBlueprintLibrary.cpp : 417 = Blueprint set not found : Kuju, RailSimulatorCore
[Content 5:30:24 PM] Trace cBlueprintLibrary.cpp : 448 = Blueprint set not found for: Cameras\EditCamera001.xml
[Content 5:30:40 PM] Trace cEntity.cpp : 1272 = Missing blueprint "
"[Content 5:30:40 PM]
[RunTimeError 5:30:42 PM] Trace mdump.cpp : 381 = Dump taken

So does that mean I have to reinstall the whole thing??? If so what could have caused this????

Restarting didn't work so I'm backing up my assets folder right now before I verify because the last time I did, it messed up alot of things I changed like, unpack all of the .ap assets making it easier to modify things inside

Do the 'verify game files' in Steam again. It sounds redundant, but one time I did have some damaged files that got caught the second time.

Based on the files in the error message, something in the core game is messed up. Why it would have issues now, when you had been running it earlier, I have no idea. !*don-know!*

Did you install anything just prior to the game getting messed up? Sometimes trainsim likes to throw a fit over even well made content.

Any recent workshop items subscribed to? Does it have a updating scenario base dialogue on the splash screen in white letters prior to crashing?

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that, I had just subscribed to the Moscow route thats in the workshop. I wanted to see if there was a difference to the one thats here in the library.

Also I'm currently resintalling the game. If it works then Ill transfer my backed up assets folder back in

Unsubscribe from the workshop item through your Steam profile>profile>workshop items>subscribed items. Most likely a corrupted file. No need to reinstall TS it will only reinstall the corrupted workshop again. Unless you unsubscribe you will not solve your issue.

Well folks I'm back in business! After a clean reinstall and another verify of game files: Everything worked! Now to enjoy some Bessemer and Lake Erie action! Thanks again to all for your help.
