Will this one work without having the RSDL payware version?

Well done :) one thing you might try is massively whitening the alpha channel where the paint has come off right down to the metal.

I do have the GP9 but I can't check right atm, what is the issue with the cab? there are always ways round hardcoded texture paths, but it might get a bit convoluted.

@jpetersjr ~ Sorry, Mate! *!sad!* You'll need the Payware version. The set is worth the money, even without the modifications. *!!wink!!*

@Kali ~ The cab textures for this payware set are located in a "default" directory within the set. I cant figure out how to "separate" those textures and make them specific to a particular GP9 Repaint. As it is right now, ~ALL~ GP9's look like that in the cab. I dont know what line to change in the .bin file to point the cab textures to a place other than the default. I have tried, believe me!
Please feel free to convolute as much as you like! I'm open to anything screwball or otherwise to make it work.

The cab is awesome. Common among many a shortline locomotive. Also like the patch job on the Black Widow. Any chance to get it on the Bloody Nose as well?

I have to thank Derek for the way he's set this up, seems there's potential for any repaint to have it's own cab without jumping through hoops. I assume you've got your own Cabview folder in your repaint tree? just copy the geo and the texture folder out of the default cabview into yours and then drop your textures on top. The trick is the two types of cab Geo; there's a "repaint" one which has hardcoded references to the Default folder, and the default one, which just looks for the texture folder under it, and the Engine folder "across" from it ( so it will see your rusty bodywork from the cab ).

I didn't even know it was possible to repaint a cab. Could you repaint the Chinese QJ and the QJ cab.
