Searchlight Simulations sound issue

Unread postby Brickrail782 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 10:43 am

On heavily-detailed routes such as Canadian Mountain Passes, NS Coal, Stevens Pass etc, the interior and exterior engine sounds become INCREDIBLY loud, drowning out every other sound including the horn. The sound can be heard throughout the entire route with no volume change anywhere along the line. A side affect of this issue is the isolation switch indicator message begins repeating itself, covering up the entire right side of the screen. If this is important, my graphics settings are on "low."

Send us a video about your issue. It seems you're the first to ever encounter anything like you described because we certainly can't reproduce it on our end.

I've never had that exact issue, but sometimes switching from outside to in cab the sounds will stay as if you are outside for a minute then return to cab level volume.

That's normal because certain sounds are pre-looped. So even after switching to in-cab view, they will play the sound file through. We probably will change this once we overhaul the GEVO-12 and FDL-16 pack.

Sorry I took so long to respond, we had some relatives visiting. Do you want me to upload the video here or email it to you? Also the audio quality might not be that good, I don't have any recording programs on my computer, so I'm going to be using a handheld video camera.
