Hi! Is there a tutorial on how to make large bodies of water such as lakes and shorelines?

Not shure if there is but i can easly tell you how!

First you must make a depression in the land where you want your lake to be. (make the lake bed and where you want your shore line to be with the hill and depression tools)

next you must select the lake water assete from the foliage on the left center flyout. the water should be at the bottom of the page.

select that and place it on the ground, you will notice it is only 1x1 in size. move it to the desired height of the lake.

now you can change the size of the water by hovering your mouse on the water tile, you will see grey bars on the water that turn yellow when your mouse selects them. you can drag them to the desired length and width you want. note that there is a max size of the water so you may halfto use more than one.

finally you can paint the shoreline with sand and or dirt and have the bottom of the lake wet dirt or mud for the correct look.

that should be all you need to know! !*salute*!

Hi! Thanks for the info. and tips. Sorry to take so long to get back to this as I was having computer problems, and I changed from Vista to Windows 7. The problem I was having with the water tile, was that I wasn't getting the camera close enough to the tile to see the grab handles to enlarge the size of area. Cheers;
