A couple evenings ago I had a derailment when starting to cross Croxton, due to a tilt. It could not be because I was crossing at 15 mph in a pretty much straight track stretch:

Other than that there are two many low speed changes in that part of the track, as well as an overlapped couple of speeds (the last one in the pic).

Jalisa, i rebuilt all 3 tracks at CP Marion. It was a last minute fix. Try today an see if is better. Per my research cp marion is 15, after switches to croxton its 30.
Im going to make scenario there in the coming weeks.
I will still be making track fixes and doing testing on the bergen the next few weeks. Scenery will have to wait.

That one I did was for the Croxton Ordinary, so no changes available, because it is a finalized WS route since a few days ago.
That´s the route that need the scenarios done.

I have to get his off my chest. I have 2 issues with the route that will most certainly impact scenarios.
The first I published, due to a rail break after the switch that takes you off the main line to Croxton Lead you get a hard red signal on track 2. To get a green you have to diverge before or after Rutherford to get to track 1 and then you get a green to the yard. The second just stinks, as you know I did extensive track work/replacement from Allendale to Ridgewood. No errors save for missing signal on tack three between Ridgewood and Hohokus. But the honey is the Rebuild of Suffern Yard. You can Tab/Spad your self out of the yard. But get Red signals going in. From the West you are NOT getting in with out blowing past a red. From Suffern Station you can get in without penalty buts still Red. This is due to me not replacing the yard signals. As Suffern/Hillburn yard is basically a multi-tracked passing siding to the game. To get greens going in, you would need to set a path that would cleanly take you through the yard and back onto the main. This I all corrected on the Bergen and documented what I found.

Root Cause: Being under time pressure, I didn't QC any of these switches/signals as they previously worked. Lesson: if you make a track change that involves a switch you MUST QC the signals. On ANY switch, you MUST check for track breaks particularly at the divergence.

This hurts personally because I wanted to run freight scenarios and this hits my frieght guys right in the kisser. A gorgeous freight scenario by one of our very own is on hold as he works out how to get into Croxton. I drove it ... IT IS SUPERB.
I hope he works that last kink out.

Long story short as far as signals go - you can get cleanly out of ALL yards, you can get into all yards except Croxton, Suffern and Hillburn. (you can get in but through a red signal)

Aside from the signal issue into Suffern that you mentioned, everything else from Marion CP to Suffern Yard seems great! I took 3 SD60Ms and about 5,000ft of doublestacks on a run.

Has anyone ever considered extending this route to the Erie passenger terminal at Pavonia ave in jersey city? It was a mile and a half from the long dock tunnel which passes below the 4 tracks of the Lackawanna from Hoboken. Next to the tunnel was the 4 track Bergen arches, now abandoned but clearly visible on google earth.
