Fire Trucks?

I've tried doing some searching on this topic, and haven't really found any helpful sources. Since the topic has been and was brought up before I don't mean to start a brand new "thread" however due to it being a bit outdated I figured I would just make a more updated question/request. First, Are there any current payware or freeware models of fire trucks/vehicles? If not, can anyone make this happen? I've seen in the past there were projects in the making, however some have never finished or came through. From what I have heard is some developers have distant them self's from Train Simulator and don't plan to make future models for the game, due to various reasons. I understand in the simulation world as time goes on and as I have seen for myself things do change, I just hope as one that has contributed to many developers and the game it self, that this won't change just yet.
