TestTraK NA

Unread postby TheRailfan98 » Mon Apr 11, 2016 1:25 pm

So after getting bored of the outdated look of TestTraK, I decided to completely redo almost all of the route's scenery and give it a North American theme. I've only used assets from North Jersey Coast Line and a few from New York New Haven. If released this would obviously require the original TestTraK route that was included in Train Simulator 2012 as well. I'm still debating a release, so I'd like to know if enough people would like this. I will admit the route isn't the best optimized (I need to practice that) but if you can run high detail routes like NJCL or Stevens Pass without many issues you should be able to run this fine. Let me know what you think and if you'd like me to release :D

I say go ahead and put it up on the workshop. I like the look of it and I doubt I'm the only one.

Alright, bit surprised how many people actually want this :D TrMike999 and I are working on getting it workshop ready (for ease of future updates) as well as TestTraK asset free, that way people that don't own TestTraK will need classic european assets instead. I'll post an update when we get it on the workshop *!greengrin!*

Yes, please release it! I LOVE the Test Trak and use it all the time as a sandbox to test new rolling stock. I'd download it in a heartbeat...
Best, !*cheers*!

The main reason we're replacing TestTraK assets is because it isn't available anymore. Classic european assets are available in the store as "European Loco & Asset Pack". If you bought Train Simulator 2012 (I think the only way you could have TestTraK), then you have the classic assets already :D

Oh. Well I bought TS 2014 and it came with TestTrak, but don't have the Euro Loco & Asset Pack. So am I qualified?

Interesting, I didn't know 2014 came with TestTraK. You don't have a "RailSimulator" or "RailSimulatorUS" folder inside the Kuju asset folder? I would just get the pack during a sale, but if it's a big issue I could probably upload a TestTraK asset version to the website.

No I have RS and RS-US in the Kuju asset folder.

If you have those then you should have classic assets - both European and US - but I'd double check the steam page for the pack to see if it says you do have it.
