I need help I can't figure out how to remove this. I used RWtools but when I told it to remove it. It said it did but it did not. I can go into the route and remove the other freeware assets manually. But I need to find this too and I cannot.

I have decided not to fool with a workshop version. It would be too much work to take all of the freeware assets out. I tried and I could not get all of them out.

So I am finished with what I am going to do with this route. If other people want to try that is fine with me. Just give me credit for the work that I did in making the Feather River Canyon Extension. I would not be happy if someone took credit for my work.

I made this route extension to add on to what DTG did with the Original Feather River Canyon Route. And I believe that I added to there version.
Like the Williams Loop - Clio Trestle and Portola Yard. I want to thank everyone that has download my route and the people in the future that will Thank You all.

Very nice video (I watched it last night) that shows the "air" in Portola Yard and the usage of the loop to turn a short F7 train towards Salt Lake City.
As I commented yesterday, Portola is the end of the Third Subdivision of the Western WP division, going from Oroville to Portola, the full FRC route when adding dleeboy´s extension. !*brav*!

Update on the route a friend of mine let me know that there are some problems with the route. Like I have stated I am good at doing scenery. All of the other things not as good. So with his help we are working on fixing the route to make it better. Once all of that is done I will rerelease the route here.

School is in session I am teaching myself on proper signal placement. I will do my best it might not be perfect but much better than what I released. I will add to the scenery around the yards and in other places. I will try to put an updated version out in a few weeks if I can.

I figured out how to do the signals. I have updated Portola Yard and I have added more scenery detail at the yard. I also added an area at the Portola Yard to refuel your Diesel engines.
Another day or two and I will put up an updated version of the route.

It will have corrected signals-speed markers and added scenery detail at the sidings. I might add some cows in the open areas. And put some vehicles at some of the railroad crossings.

Thanks Everyone I have finished with the update. I am going to send it out to have it tested before I rerelease the route.

When I put this route out the first time I believe I did a good job. I then found out that I had some problems with the route. So this is why I have gone in and updated it and I have tried to fix the problems that I had made. I may have not fixed everything I did try. I had to learn how to do the switches the right way. And I found out that the route needed speed signs. So I have put them in Maybe not to everyone's liking but to the best of my ability.

Like I have said before Scenery work is my specialty. All of the rest not so much but I am learning. I hope this is satisfactory with everyone.
I am hoping to get the update up later in the week after it is tested.

The fourth shot reminds me a bit of Kindiak Park in Need For Speed high stakes. The position, and the atmosphere don't look that much different. The police car in the shot got my attention.

dleeboy wrote:This is the Feather River Canyon Extension Final. To run this route you must first have bought DTGs Feather River Canyon Route.

What I did was I took from where DTG left off at Quincy California and extended the route to Hawley California.
Here is the list of Destinations on the route.

1. End of DTG FR.
2. Massack
3. Williams Loop
4. Spring Garden
5. Sloat
6. Two Rivers
7. Blairsden
8. Clio Trestle
9. Portola
10. Hawley

When I made the route I had a little problem matching the grades near the Williams Loop. So just before you get to the Williams Loop the Grades jump from 1 percent Grade to 2.5 for a small distance. And also just when you start to go up at the Williams Loop. After that everything on the Grades are fine.

I also ran into a wierd problem with the switches at the Spring Garden Siding. They are suppose to stay open for the main track but for some reason they force you to go into the siding. So if anyone puts freight cars on the siding at Spring Garden be aware of this. Just make sure you switch it to open for the main line. I tried to fix it but it always goes back to this problem.

Here are the links to the Route and the Freeware Assets that I used.

Here is a list of the Freeware assets.
EMDSD90MAC
GN Route Assets
GreatNortherner

RCAP
UKTS_FP

I want to thank all of the creators of the Freeware assets for there beautiful work.
I also used the two Kuju assets the core and north America. And in the assets folder dleeboy for the route markers
I supplied the route with three Free Roam Scenarios. One at the start of the route One at Williams Loop and One at Portola Yard.
The total length of the Feather River Canyon Route Extension is 39 Miles.

From Portola to Hawley I did not put in the detail I did on the rest of the route. I just added this section so if anyone wants to run a long train from Portola to the Start of the route they can.

Here are my specs of my computer ASUS Desktop Pc G10AC Intel core i7 4770 CPU 3.40 Ghz. 32 GB Ram. Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 192bit video card.
I run the route on Highest settings and it runs fine on my computer.

I hope everyone enjoys this Route extension I had fun making it.

Please let me know what you think about my Feather River Canyon Route Extension.

I updated the Feather River Canyon Extension.

1. I fixed the problem with the reversed signals. And I added some to the Portola Yard area.
2. I added speed signs.
3. I updated scenery by added some more detail at Portola Yard and the other sidings along the route.
And added vehicles and other scenery items to make it feel more real to life than it did when it was released before.
4. I made two Quick Drive scenarios for the route. (Quincy Junction to Portola) and (Portola to Quincy Junction)

For those that have already downloaded my route first Thank you.
Please download the updated version it does make it better than the first version.

When I first released the route I thought I was finished with it. But it was brought to my attention that there were problems with it.
I am not a professional Route maker. I just do this because I love Trains and making routes.
So I apologize to everyone if my route is not perfect. I have learned a lot from the first days of making routes. And I learn everyday so each future Route Project gets better each time I make one.

I hope everyone enjoys my updates to the route. Here is the link to the updated Feather River Canyon Extension Route.
I took out the old link for the first version of the route and replaced it with the updated version.
So for those that have not downloaded my route yet you will get the updated version.
All of the other Freeware assets links are the same.
