Hard to get no feedback about some repaints.
I really give my vote on every repaint I dl from the file libary, give feedback to repaints here in the board...but this ? O_o
Really...I'm a little ticked off...some members here ask me for so long to upload the BN ES44DC...I've spend a lot of time to figure out the little things to make it close enough to the original...same as the fictional units which cost me a lot of time.
These aren't 'whoop-paint-whoop-place-whopp-works fine' repaints...does some members really now how it works ?
This is a step by step by step work...paint a little...go ingame...look if it's fit...close game...repaint...correct...go ingame...take a look...etc.
This steps repeats so often you can't count it.
All we repainters want, and I think the others want it too, is some feedback and critism. (positiv - negativ / we still can learn and fix some stuff for you, but in this point we need the feedback)

Sibell everything you have submitted to the file library has been excellent. I have to wonder if you are studying Graphics Art?

I myself know how hard it is to repaint, especially locomotives. Take for instance one of Kuju's SD40-2's. To get where I wanted the paint, it took me several days of going from one texture, painting both sides of the long hood, then ensuring that the lines were all matched, then getting to the cab on a different texture...Not to mention the little stuff like the cab shades, etc.

Yeah, some engines are very hard...specially the CSX ES44Dc ... I took the paint and give several things numbers to know where they are. But I do this for users who don't have the nerves and the energy to paint his own engies, and I have a lot of fun to see them ingame. It makes the game looks more realitic to me.

Hello Sibell, good work.
Just a note: If you had done dynamic numbers, then you would have avoided create ten BN reskins.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's a very tough and tedious process, and it certainly takes a lot of patience. It just seems natural for some to overlook what they don't understand. For example my friends used to tease here and there about how much "work" Train Simulator could possibly be but then they sat down and watched me repaint a Boston & Maine GP7, stripes and all...let's just say they ate their words !*roll-laugh*! Feedback is always rewarding and we definitely thrive off of it....I always enjoy seeing what you come up with, Sibell. I hope everyone gives learning to repaint a shot, its a very satisfying feeling in the end! It's definitely an art, that's what I believe.

I have repaints all over the place also, I can not turn them out as fast as you nor as good looking. Mine are OK. I painted over 1200 reskins for the old MSTS, most were photo reskins. Much like my day job as a granite carver, I am not really an artist , I just know how to manipulate the media. At least in my opinion.

I just downloaded these and can't wait to mess around with these! Just out of curiosity, since I am absolutely terrible at repainting complex things, how difficult would it be to put that Burlington (CB&Q) locomotive into the "Way of the Zephyr" scheme? I would really love if BNSF came out with some of these, and would honestly hope to see that over the standard red "Burlington" paint. Regardless, I love the way these look, as I could NEVER in a million years imagine accomplishing such task!
*!!thnx!!* and keep up the good work!
