Union RR SW1200

Unread postby harryadkins » Mon Feb 23, 2015 9:09 pm

This model is a Union Railroad repaint of Dick Cowan's Britkits SW1200 by Harry R. Adkins. I created this repaint for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie route. The Union Railroad is an important connecting link in the Pittsburgh area and is partly included in the P&LE route. Due to mapping limitations, it’s not totally accurate, but for my taste it’s “close enough.”

My best friend from High School, now deceased, worked for the Union Railroad as a conductor at National Tube in McKeesport PA. It is on the P&LE route also. He started there right out of high school and the next thing I know he has a new silverado and a boat behind it and allkindsofnew stuff. They paid good in '75

Are you, perhaps, redoing the original model's cab?
