Currently still in my "workshop", where they've already been for far too long now. However, just a few last things to tweak and correct, then they should be ready for release.

LOL, indeed. The final pack will include both SD7s and 9s *!!wink!!*

Fallen into that pit quite a few times myself during beta testing. "Oh no!!! What did I do wrong this time, that [beep] engine won't move!!!"
However, unfortunately it's necessary for both brakes to be on at the start to prevent runaways: with the non-self lapping brake valves on these engines the train brake starts to apply at the start of a scenario, so if that is on a steep grade you'll have gotten to a few mph before the brake is finally on.

No, no he isn't. We have a lot of little stuff to do to bring these to completion. Once the little things (which is what eats your lunch) are taken care of, we will release them. Time = "When it's done™"

I'm fully aware of the little things after spending three hours today trying to get a railing the right color.

Indeed, that's the main reason why this is taking me so long. Mike and Dan have really raised the bar on detailing and accuracy on the SD's. While on my own models I generally stuck to a single "one size fits all" repaint for each railroad, the reworked engines model much more of the variety of their prototype rosters. Which is first of all time consuming to set up, and also admittedly tricky for me to understand when I try to rebuild the engines with my updated base parts.

Hi everybody,

At long last, the CB&Q SD7/9 pack has been released! You can get them here:
http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/emdsd9cbq.html

This add-on includes eight locomotives, four SD7s and four SD9s. Three of each wear the original black/grey livery ("Everywhere West", "Way of the Zephyrs", and one without slogan), one each comes in the Chinese Red paint scheme. The engines also feature a bidirectional control stand (one on each side of the cab), but due to some issues with the animations you can only grab half of the controls with the mouse. Sorry.

A big thank you to Dan and Micheal who painted these engines and modeled the numerous and highly-detailed custom child objects! *!!thnx!!*

Have fun with the CB&Q units.

Cheers
Michael

I can't help but notice that in the water reflections, the engine seem to be levitating in the air! !*roll-laugh*!
