Is Steam broken? [SOLVED]

Unread postby artimrj » Sat Mar 01, 2014 10:08 am

I have not been able to read any forums on Steam for 3 days. I just get a spinning cursor and maybe a list of threads comes up but I can not read anything or post. I can not get to my groups, or my areas, not even my inventory. Only thing that works are the library and store links. I even tried the old RW forum on Steam and it does the same thing.

I don't often visit the Steam forums, but I just checked and they seem to be working just fine on my computer.

Forum appears a-OK. I have been seeing some strange things when starting Railworks, however, usually to the tune of "Can't establish connection...blah, blah", but starting straight from the Steam shortcut quickly gets things underway. *!rolleyes!*
Cheers!

I had a big problem with that also. That needs a fix of some kind.

It could be time for a clean Flash install.
Adobe used to tell people to uninstall the old one first, then install the new version.
Their installer has been working pretty good for me the last couple of years, but maybe you guys need a fresh beginning.

All of Steam seems to be down this afternoon. It was fine at 6am, but now I can't get to the Forums, Store, Community. Library and Friends work, tho. Games ask to start in offline mode. It'll be back later.
