Hi, the current .igs exporter for Blender to RailWorks is not fully developed it does not export animations. Although I can get a locomotive into RailWorks with the current exporter, the number of objects RailWorks accepts is 26, so I would have to "Join" nearly all of the objects in my scene (which would destroy my model's chances of any modifications). The new exporter will join objects at export allowing me to keep the locomotive editable.

Originally I had planned to release v2.1 last Sunday. But because I've got some feedback from some very active and highly motivated beta testers, I'm doing bug hunting (again) right now :-?

Killed 3 of them tonight 8) one more to go...

There you go.

Thank you.

I have made a few changes to the model here (kudos to those that spot them), and the last thing that I feel needs to be worked on is the trucks. Does anyone have pictures of the trucks specifically (focused on the trucks instead of the train)?

Go here http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPi ... px?id=3983 , if these are'nt quite enough I'll share some of mine or a mesh to play with .

Got two questions , do you plan on continuing ? do you have the EMD data books ?

Hi, yes I plan to continue building until I'm happy with the trucks, as that's the last thing I need to do before putting this into RailWorks. I have no books and have only gone off stuff on the internet.

Those pictures would be very helpful if I were modeling a SD70MAC, but I'm modeling an SD70M. Unless, are the trucks the same on each? If that is true, or you have pictures of a SD70M truck then I would be happy to receive more pictures.

Those trucks are the same HTC revision as the SD70M phase 2 a and b , and as near as I can tell that's what you are building :) ... notable differences for the trucks in both SD70M model revisions and the Mac model revisions are placement/mount points of the shocks and the brake hangers and adjustments .... question is what phase and revision do you have ? :)

Gets down to rivet counting in the long run .. subtle differences in all locos , some people can over look this and some can't .. without accurate drawings best to go for as close as you can get based on pics and whatnot and tell 'em to take a hike if not happy :)

I got some stuff for ya later today or tomorrow to make the next model a tad easier.

This is the area on the trucks that I am having trouble modeling if anyone wants to know.

As far as I can tell, it is the phase 1c2, going off of a website.

That would be fantastic.

OK .. give me a bit and I'll dig through what I got and see what's there for these.
