RSC Pacific Surfliner Crashing

Unread postby IHB2921 » Thu Dec 05, 2013 9:21 pm

I purchased the Surfliner route on black Friday but I haven't had any luck getting it to work. If i load up the route the most i might get is a minute or two runtime before it crashes to the desktop with the "failed to save dumpfile error". I've tried verifying the game cache in steam, and clearing it in the railworks works but neither changed anything. Doesn't matter what settings I have it at it will still crash, frame rates are not as issue as I still seem to get 30fps on it. I've seen posts about other similar issues so I ran a "normal" attempt at getting in the route with logmate and got the following info. If anyone can provide any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

"[RunTimeError 8:07:47 PM] Trace mdump.cpp : 316 = error handlers have been set

This is not an error, but is it as intended?"

I don't have Marias Pass or Kent High speed so I have no idea why it needs the blueprint files.

Do a search in the Windows Search box, look for "PONtrack.bin" files and delete them. Make sure you get them all, there could be one or five. There's quite a few topics here about this file causing this and many other problems.

Thanks for the welcome! I could not find any ""PONtrack.bin" files (though I did before after finding that fix on the forum, but it didn't make any difference). Between now and when i started the post I decided just to wipe my railworks folder and have steam re-download it. Still getting the same issue, and logmate gives the exact same readout.

Have you tried loading different scenarios?

Strting in Quick Drive mode, I don't get a crash.
I get the same KentHighSpeed blueprints not found errors, so it's not the problem. No mention of MariasPass.
But I have an insane amount of this error (more than 20 per second, scrolling continuously, this slows the game down):
[Sound 01:32:21] Trace Consists\cAudioTrackState.cpp : 194 = Rumble blueprint was NULL. Don't know why!

So there seems to be a problem with a track rumble blueprint.
Do you get this error in huge amounts too?

I think the issue may be I just don't have enough memory. Running 32 bit windows 7 with 4 GB of ram (of course it cant use all of it). Already have a replacement desktop picked out so we'll see how that goes.
