Erie_EL_HH660; 24 MAY 2019
Repaint by Rudi Jaeger, exclusively for the Rick Grout's (G-TraX) freeware Generic Alco HH600 (GX_HH600.zip) available in the RWA Library.
------------------------------
The Erie owned four HH660's, class SA-6A, which were built in October 1939, and assigned primarily in the vicinity of Jersey City and the West 28th Street Yard. The locos were numbered 302 - 305, and in 1960 were re-badged with the Erie Lackawanna herald. This repaint pack contains eight examples featuring static numbers and non-driver versions with both Erie and Erie Lackawanna heralds. Although they will work on any standard-gauge route, these repaints are primarily intended for use on the legendary New York Bergen Division route by the Minermen, which is hosted on the Steam Workshop.
Credits and special thanks to the original developer, Rick Grout (aka "ricksan"), for the textures which served as the foundation for these repaints, and for permission to include the modified geo-files which allow for individual painting of checkerplates and trucks to specific road-names.
------------------------------
Installation:
1. Ensure you have installed Rick Grout's (G-TraX) Generic Alco HH600 from the RWA Library; I also recommend installing the freeware G-TraX ALCo HH600 available
with the Maine Maritime route on RWA, as the Generic HH600 has some file dependancies (numbers) in it's Geo-file which are inherint to my repaints.
2. Transfer the Assets folder (from this zip file) into your main Railworks folder.
Note 1: There are no requirements to overwrite anything or perform any file manipulation; the Geo-files are included so it's ready to run. The new HH660 folders are located here:
Railworks\Assets\G-TraX\HH600\RailVehicles\Diesel\Eriexxx (and ELxxx).
Note 2: If you are an advanced user performing a minimized installation of select loco numbers; Erie302 is the "stand-alone" version, with the remaining road-numbers having file dependancies upon it for certain texture files and folders (numbers, checker-plates, trucks). But if you simply copied the Assets folder per the initial instructions, then there is nothing to worry about; all six locos will be fully operational. Just remember, “HH600 Erie302” must be installed for any of the other repaints to work.
------------------------------
Using the Locos in Custom Scenarios:
1. To be able to place the locos in a scenario, you will first have to enable the object filter for these cars in the scenario editor:
2. Open the left-hand middle flyout panel, click the button that shows a blue cube with an orange triangle.
3. Activate the flyout panel on the right side of the screen, and tick the checkboxes for developer “G-TraX” and product “HH600”.
4. The locos will now show up in the asset browser listed as “HH600 Erie302” and “HH600 EL302” with additional road-numbers: 303, 304, 305. Non-driver versions are indicated with a "ND" suffix.
