Comprehensive mod pack for the FL9

Description

This is the DTG New Haven FL9 Physics & Sound Mod Pack V2.0

In order to utilize this freeware physics & sound upgrade, you must have purchased ALL THREE of the following for this pack to be fully functional:
1. New Haven FL9 Loco Add-On Loco Add-On available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/258642/
2. Metro-North P32 AC-DM 'Genesis' Loco Add-On available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/258655/
3. Pacific Surfliner® LA - San Diego Route available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/222606/

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to further modify the physics enhancements found in this pack for personal use if you so choose.

THIS IS BOTH A PHYSICS AND SOUND UPGRADE PACK.

The purpose of this pack is to correct physics errors in the DTG FL9 locomotive, provide FL9AC operating physics, swap in the horn sounds from the P32AC-DM, add in a Hancock whistle option, and replace the default Shoreliner horn and bell sounds.

General Parameter Change Log (Physics):
1. Adjust Tractive Effort down to real world values. Default TE ratings were recycled from the GE Genesis P42DC DLC.
2. Adjust power ratings.
3. Fix locomotive weight.
4. Set fuel capacity to 1200 or 1500 gallons in cab car.
5. Fixed air brake application and release rates.
6. Adjusted brake pressures.
7. Created separate physics set for FL9AC locomotive.
7a. Locomotive with engineer does not supply HEP; locomotive with no engineer (NC locomotives) supply HEP.
8. Corrected amount of power notches in cab car.

General Parameter Change Log (Sounds):
1. Raised volume of Prime Mover and Bell sounds.
2. Swapped out recycled horn sound from F7 with K5LA from P32AC-DM or Custom Hancock Air Chime.
3. Fixed door sounds on Shoreliner Coaches.
4. Replaced Surfliner horn and bell on Shoreliner Cab Car with proper RS2M and Shoreliner Bell.
5. Added Amfleet brake release sound to Shoreliner Coaches.
6. Subbed in EMD 710 sounds from Pacific Surfliner F59PHI into the FL9AC physics pack.

Technical specifications for FL9 and FL9AC:

IMPORTANT; Install Instructions

1. Open the following directory: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01"
2. Open the "DTG_New_Haven_FL9_Physics_&_Sound_Mod_V2.0.rar" file
3. Drag both folders from the .rar file into the directory from step 1.
4. Physics & Sound mod installation is complete.
5. Run TS2015 to confirm.

NOTE: This pack now comes with the ability to switch between the K5LA and the Hancock Air Chime for sounds, and also between FL9 and FL9AC traction physics. Follow the below instructions to switch between the two horns and physics:

OWNER'S MANUAL:
Once installation is complete, the horn that is being used is the Hancock Air Chime. In order to change the horn that is used, follow the instructions below:
1a. Open folders until directory reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\FL9\Cab"
1b. You will see two folders; "K5LA" and "Hancock Whistle".
2. Open the respective folder that contains the horn.proxyxml horn you want to use and copy the file (CTRL + C).
3. Proceed back to the directory from step 1a.
4. Paste the selected file (CTRL + V); overwrite when prompted.
5. Horn swap should be complete. Run TS2015 to confirm.

Upon installation, the pack defaults to using the FL9 physics and prime mover sounds. In order to switch physics and sounds, follow the steps below:

1. Open the following three directories:
 a. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\FL9\NewHaven\Simulation"
 b. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\FL9\NewHaven\Engine"
 c. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01\RailVehicles\Passengers\Shoreliner\Driving Trailer\Simulation"
 d. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01\RailVehicles\Passengers\Shoreliner\Driving Trailer\Engine"
2. In each of those directories, you will see two folders (one for each set of locomotive physics):
 a. "FL9"
 b. "FL9AC"
3. Once you choose which set of physics to use, open the respective physics folder in all four directories from step 1.
4. Copy (CTRL + C) all files you find in the opened folder located in directory 1a.
5. Proceed back to directory 1a and paste (CTRL + V) the copied files into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
6. Copy (CTRL + C) all files you find in the opened folder located in directory 1b.
7. Proceed back to directory 1b and paste (CTRL + V) the copied files into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
8. Copy (CTRL + C) all files you find in the opened folder located in directory 1c.
9. Proceed back to directory 1c and paste (CTRL + V) the copied files into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
10. Copy (CTRL + C) all files you find in the opened folder located in directory 1d.
11. Proceed back to directory 1d and paste (CTRL + V) the copied files into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
12. If the previous 11 steps were completed properly, the physics swap should be successful.
13. To swap the prime mover sounds, open the following directory:
 a. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\FL9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\FL9"
14. In that directory you will see the same two folders as in step 2.
15. Once you choose which set of sounds to use, open the respective sound folder in all the directoty from step 13.
16. Copy (CTRL + C) all file you find in the opened folder located in directory 13a.
17. Proceed back to directory 1a and paste (CTRL + V) the copied file into the directory; overwrite when prompted.
18. If the previous 5 steps were completed properly, the prime mover sound swap should be successful; run TS2015 to check.
