SD70v2 pack 2 cab problem

Unread postby thecanadianrail » Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:46 pm

So I just ran into a problem today where I tried to run the SD70's (the ACe and the MAC) and in the scenario it refuses to let me into the cab or the headout views! I don't get a SBHH error, all it does is stay in the previous view, although the little button on the hud lights up for the cab. any ideas on what went wrong? !*don-know!*

Sounds like a bad loco blueprint.
Maybe verify local files if you have time.

That can happin on a repaint if the engine bin is not pointing to the proper Cab Camera.bin. Or the geo.pcdx is missing from the cabview folder or Cab Camera.bin is missing.

I just ran into this problem - its a blueprint issue. Most likely, you've added the Machinist/Krellnut Sound and lighting enhancment pack (here: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds)

If so, it's not showing the projecting headlights nor the cabview because these files have been modified by the enhancement pack and no longer reside in the RSC SD70 folder. They're in the Kuju folder. So, all you have to do is go inside the scenario editor and check "Kuju" and save, and all should be good.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm having this problem with a workshop scenario. I can't open it in the scenario editor to add Kuju to the providers list and it won't let me clone the scenario either. Steven's Pass doesn't even show up in RWTools. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

It's not that. That one makes the engine textures disappear when using SD70 V2 Volume 2. The cab view will remain intact.

It sounds like corrupt files. I would verify first, like others have said.

I had the same problem the other night. You can't go through the Workshop scenario, but you can go into a standard scenario for that route, or even create a new freeroam scenario to get access to the "World Editor" and gain access to enabling the Kuju and RailsimulatorUS etc folders.

Stevens is in that .ap file format. The newest version of RW Tools should be able to open it and see it, if not then just use 7Zip and unpack the file. RW Tools will then pick it up for sure.

Yeah, I figured it was. Still, I think it's the only one that doesn't show up. Is it just the routes that are new after the release of TS2014 that are this way?

Yep. For whatever reason, (several different theories on that) RSC decided to start using that file format with TS2014. Mike Simpson has been "tweaking" RW Tools for several months not to get it to work right with this sim. It may still not catch everything, Stevens being the latest from RSC.

Stevens is in GNTX not RSC. I think it's a Steam thing not a RSC thing. Yes it is a .ap file.
