Bay of Quinte has no ground textures or track

Unread postby steve_the_slim » Mon Apr 08, 2013 7:48 pm

Pretty much what it says in the title. I can get the route to load after fixing the prov/prod, but the ground textures and track are all completely invisible. How do I fix this?

I had it already from back when I played RW2, but after I saw this problem I did a fresh download and install of the route.

Your Bay file should be 228 megs and the track fix should be 860,000 bytes roughly. Were they?

Try checking the route with RW_Tools. You can see what assets, shapes and textures it is using. Maybe you need to enable a different provider. Maybe the once-default Kuju assets?

And run that tutorial by Bob Latimer. It will work almost for sure. Let us know.

I did this before I even posted this thread. It didn't help.

Do you mean enable it in the route editor? Because I tried that.

And for some reason it's in the FAQs, not in the Tutorials.

It seemed like a good idea at the time...
Now in a new "troubleshooting" tutorial category.

Another question regarding this: I can't actually figure out how to see which textures the route actually uses or how to find out if it references assets that are missing or not enabled. How do I find this information?

Do you have RW_Tools? That will do it for you.

I have it, but I don't understand how to do that specific thing with it.

To check for missing assets and correctly select the required Providers/Products, follow my tutorial at:

http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/l ... -in-ts2013

If you continue with the Check Route utility it will then ask you whether you want to check for missing Texture/Audio/Animation & Script files. It will also ask you if you want to see a list of the Textures.

Bob.
