RWA Donationware NW2 problems

Unread postby CASO » Fri Jan 04, 2013 6:17 pm

Basically the problem is I am not getting any horn or bell sound from the engine. Anyone else ever have this problem? And his there a fix? I did delete the blueprint cache, and that didn't solve anything.

Do you have the basic kit from Richard Cowan? I don't know for sure if you need it but here is where you can get it.

You shouldn't need the basic set. It should be standalone.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes ,everything is checked. All the other Britkits items are sounding fine. This is not a big worry for me,I have not taken time to look into the problem. I was just curious when I saw it mentioned in the thread.

Still not getting a horn and bell sound, and those things are in the folders, so perhaps the proxyxml file is not edited properly?

So no sort of solution to this issue, I do like to be able to use the horn and bell since it is prototypical.

!**conf**! Same here, go my stock last week, and the NW2 has No Horn or Bell sounds.
Check Engine bin with RWTools and no bell or horn sound was found.
I still need to drop a post to Richard about this.

You'd be best off to post it over on his link. I know he checks there pretty often.

I installed it on monday and do not have these problems. Exploring my bin files I see reference to the audio folder under RailworksAmerica and then in the proxy files are references to the old sd40-2 that came with RW 3 and earlier. I am also finding references for Britkits\BAR which is the other NW2 Dick has. However both the RWA and the BAR NW2's audio folders seem to have the same files in them, so there may just be a bad reference somewhere. I have the BAR NW2 so I am having no problems with anything at the moment, I suppose that is why. This has been around for along time I am surprised problems are just coming to light now.

Someone who is having problems please go to the file library and download the NW2 repaint kit, filename of RJC_kit-S02.zip in the Britkits section of the library. See if this give you horns. If so then I will edit the files and repackage this set.

Installed the kit and re-installed the donationware pack - no change unfortunately.
