RW decal help.

Unread postby 5292nate » Wed Jan 02, 2013 5:59 pm

Having a very difficult time understanding RW decal. Very confused on how to use it. I've been looking at the tutorials, but my head is still spinning. Anybody do it often? Any tips? How exatctly do you capture a decal?

There's this and other tutorials on Youtube.

I used them to get mine up and running. Just take it step by step and persevere until it all comes together.

I already moved it for you and several others in the last few days. I left a SHADOW marker so you could find it again and not think it got deleted. Just slow down and plan your posts a little, we have forums for most important topics and then the General forum for things that don't have a topic forum. Just trying to keep things organized and easier to search for.

Nate, RWDecal has his own YouTube Channel. Here is one of RWDecal's video's that explains a lot of things you need to know to use RWDecal

http://youtu.be/V9Qy28oi8_s

Once you get the hang of it, you'll find RWDecal a very easy to use. The decals will always be placed under Misc Assets on the middle left flyout, plus you'll need to make sure the Route Markers radio button is selected on the bottom left flyout in order to place the decals correctly.

When using the "create path" method of grabbing decals, was I supposed to start the path EXACTLY in the lat/long that I set the route up to start at? Also, is it advisable, to decal, lay track and roads, and add buildings and scenery to a route in sections?
