For branchlines like the LINC. End CTC is the start of dark territory. Begin CTC is the return to the tender care of dispatch. I will remove the VAN reference for the set I'll release, but it's right for the LINC.
The red stop is for the trains when there are manual crossing gates or limited sight distance at grade crossings. The Rye branch off of the BN main is too close to the crossing for automatic crossing gates, and the stop sign is for the train to stop and manually activate the crossing signals.
The blue stop is used to block sidings when cars are connected to unloading tubes, or when work is being performed on the track to protect the workers. It can also be used to mark derails.
These signs are repaints of GreatNortherner's GN whistleposts, and will require the freeware originals be installed.
Edit: Credit where due dept. The font used on the stop signs is Pete Willard's carknocker font.
