Switch stands not showing up

Unread postby buzz456 » Wed Jul 04, 2012 5:46 pm

I just loaded the Tennessee Pass route onto my spiffy new computer and the switch stands aren't showing up. I have them on the Butte route. Anybody know what asset I am missing?

Do you have the SP/SF Scale Rail?

Had the same problem... This how I solved it:

Using Mike Simpson's excellent RW Tools 3 (if you don't have it, get it! It is definitely money well spent). Go to Route Building Tools tab - Check Routes and Scenarios

Select Tennessee Pass

click Check Selected Route ... This takes a little while

You will get quite a long list, however most are the missing switch stand and there is an entry for each instance of the missing item.

Note the name of the missing file.

Now do a windows search of the assets folder for the missing file name and you will get the location of the file (ie exactly where it is).

Go to that location and Copy the file to the clip board.

Paste the file into the location that was specified in the missing assets list generated by RW Tools 3. Unfortunately I don't recall if I had to copy just the file or folder containing the file. Just make certain that file ends up in the location exactly as specified in the missing asset list.

That should do it... did for me. This will work for any missing assset assuming the missing file is located somewhere in the assets folder.

Hope this helps,

Brian

Were you in the scneario editor at the time? Usually after you exit the scenario editor into the scenario, this will happen. Just exit out and restart the scenario.

Brian,
At work right now. I didn't have RW Tools installed on the new computer yet, however I'll give this a run tonight. Thanks.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
