I've messed up the Butte upgrade to 1.2

Unread postby LionelDave » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:50 am

I have downloaded the upgrade twice and get the same results both times.

I get piles and piles of what look like road signs (they have a black and yellow striped border around a white sign that seems to have the letttering backwards)

I don't know how to do a screen shot to show you what I'm getting But I'm hoping someone knows what I've done wrong.

Any ideas?

Dave

Sounds like you have missing or corrupted textures for something, but I'm just guessing.

There's a 1.2 Patch that I just added to the library.

Maybe that will help.

Thanks for the help. I think that's the first time I haven't messed something up.

I really like this route for some reason, and haven't figured out why there aren't more scenarios for it.

Thanks again for the patch. That was really fast.

Why not write up an overview for it, and give it some stars?

I have got one in the works, but am having problems with signals not allowing permission to pass a stop.

WOW! Michale wrote up an overview for his other routes but he didn't write one up for the Butte. !**conf**!

That surprised me as well.

Hi,

first of all, sorry for the messing up the original 1.2 upload -- I had picked the wrong file in the uploader, and when I noticed my mistake a day later so many people had already downloaded it.

That is something that I learned only recently, apparently my signal scripts are very 'insisting' on a clear path being there for the player past the signal. So when you can't get a red to clear in a scenario, always check that all manual switches past the signal are aligned for you. A trailing point switch lined against you (breaking your path) will likely cause an eternal red signal.

Heh, yeah. *!embar*! I wanted to wait for version 2, but that may be a bit too ambitious. I'll write something soon, thanks for the reminder.

By the way, I have a few more scenarios for 1.2 of the route in the works. One BN grain local is already in testing, a GN switch job is almost done.

Cheers,
Michael
