All told, I probably spent maybe 20 hours or so on them in total. The hardest and most time consuming part was becoming familiar with the base template and figuring out what was what and what to paint. Referring to other repaints was very helpful. Once I got my first one done (GATX 7353) the others went much faster. Once I got my Photoshop workflow set up, it went pretty quick. The most time consuming aspect of all was loading up Railworks and waiting 3-5 minutes each time so I can see the locomotive in game to check how it looks. Even in window mode, it seemed that I had to reload the entire sim to see the updated files. Wish there was an easier way to view the assets as we edit them.
I'm glad you liked them. I plan on doing others and you'll find I'll tend to stay as prototypical as possible, especially with weathering.

Old I know but I'm slow. :)
Use RW_Tools Asset Viewer.. Once you get used to the weird method to the mayhem to get it going you can reload the preview and view updates to the repaint in seconds after updating the texture. Two clicks and I can see progress. Seconds instead of minutes. Works well for most locomotives and rolling stock.
For instance, I started repainting JT's IPA Car Carriers..

As always, perfect repaint !
