Glenn, it's right here: http://www.allaboardrails.com/os2.htm

I'm downloading now! Can't wait! Now Doug (Heavy Chevy) has 18 scenarios for this route? Wow, I'm gonna be busy for quite a while!

I will have to try it when I get home. I think that the security settings at work blocked the pay pal link, however the other routes links do show the respected links.
I am looking forward to the expansion. I have emailed rich a few times in the past about the expansion with a few questions. There is not too many routes I am happy with but the few I like, Ohio Steel is in the top 2.

I can't even get my zip file to unpack! I keep getting errors, can't find where to input the password. *sigh*

Mike, do you have Scale Rail and Scale Roads? And are you trying to run with TSX on? Rich said to run this route in Legacy mode.

I was having the same problem with unzipping it. You can't use the default app. You have to use something like "Free Files Unzip". Win7 won't do it.

I have forgot about running it in legacy...I'll try that next

OK, got it all unpacked. Thought I was using 7zip, but Windows wasn't seeing it to use for some reason. Now to get it installed into RW, all 4 folders.

When you try to unzip it, another window should pop up asking for the password. I use WinRAR as my unzip utility though.

I couldn't get the Content, Assets or Manuals folders into Railworks. But the route runs fine (OK, a few signals in mid air) I'll post some screen shots in a few! Route runs great, even has multiple engine sounds, rain, headlights! Not sure why Rich said to run it in Legacy. I'm getting 20 to 30 frames, and that's with TSX on! Great work, Rich, once again! !!*ok*!! !*salute*!

TDHenderson wrote:Ouch, not much of a deal for those that owned the first offering. $40 total (original purchase price of $21 plus another $19 to upgrade) versus $33 for a new purchase. Guess I may wait until a Steam sale to get it.

Am I the only one who thinks that the upgrade pricing should have equaled the new $33 pricetag and not exceeded it?

Trevor

Yeah, I'm a little put off by that as well, having just bought the Ohio Steel route a week or so ago. When Rich posted that the new route would replace the old and there would be a discount for those having the old route, I was thinking the new route would be $40, and I'd be happy to pay the $20 difference. But having to pay over $40 for what winds up being the one route while those buying it fresh only pay $33 seems a bit of a penalty for already having Ohio Steel. Wish I'd held off a bit. I bought when I did because I thought the new route was going to be an expansion on the old that everyone would pay the same price for (not an expansion/replacement with a price structure that penalizes those who already have the old route).

But then, I'm also having trouble running the old route at acceptable performance levels anyway.

AFAIK, the route will not be sold thru Steam. And, the upgrade price of $19 is not good if you bought the original thru Steam, only if you bought from Rich direct. I bought Ohio Steel thru Steam, so for Massillion, I paid the $33 thru All Aboard Rails.

Since I have already had many, many hours on the original route, I don't mind paying the extra for the expansion plus the update. Rich clearly spent a lot of time on this and it shows in spades. If RW could even get their stuff halfway to what Rich produces, it would be a miracle.

I think I'll go run some more trains now. !!*ok*!!
