Downloading Railworks2

Unread postby jaftwo » Mon Sep 05, 2011 1:44 pm

I'm confused on how to get Railworks2 downloaded. I purchased it a couple weeks ago after checking the system requirements and I confirmed an Internet connection was only for activation. However, following the FAQ information, I can't seem to find a link or anything in the mentioned downloader (I downloaded and installed it) and Steam (same thing, I downloaded, installed, and created an account.)

Is there something missing or not obvious in the FAQ's?

If you open Steam by double clicking on the desktop icon, it should open on the desktop. Choose Libraries. You should see Railworks listed. Click on it and choose to install. You will see little arrows or dots above the Steam icon down in your tool tray. Hover you mouse over it and it will show download speed and percentage. That Steam icon has to be there, or you are not downloading.

I know you're gonna have a lot more questions, so let me say welcome now *&!welcome!&*

Thanks,

Yes, I finally download it with Steam. Due to the nature of the system requirements, I was thinking I could use the downloader that was mentioned in the Railworks Site FAQ and the email I received with my order. I was think Steam was more for online use, but I see now I can download and then later run the application without an Internet connection.

I'm also interested in 3DCrafter, but haven.t been able to get the demo to run yet (error 91) for building content. So yes, I'll have a ton of questions. *!lol!*
