Need your help with a vary pasty problem. I've finished the repaint of a DTM\F3 UP\RailVehicles\Diesel\F3_Engine_MILW gray-orange\... A and B units but the nose of the A-unit with the logo keeps having the fathom of the old curved logo and I cannot get rid of it , no matter what I try **!!bang!!** !*hp*!

Any hints or suggestions ? for your info this engine has 3 texture files : Hood_nm, Hood_nmc and Hood-Wi (all3 have been rplaced by my repaints) !*don-know!*

Now the F3A nose is quite crisp and clean. Will be uploaded to the Library soon !*brav*!
My next project the same engine with its black-orange paint scheme; a color scheme which is not a favorite of mine !*don-know!*

Those Milwaukee Units look great. !!*ok*!! !*brav*! !*cheers*! One little suggestion, if I may. You should put a maroon & silver "Hiawatha" on the nose under the headlights. Buzz might correct me if I am wrong, but I think the F3 had them. Just a kind suggestion.. Take Care Stefan !*salute*!

Thank you for your positive feedback. After many hours spend researching photos re. Milwaukee Road EMD roster I do not remember that the Hiawatha logo was not placed on the nose of F3 locos, but it appears often on the rear end of each engine side. Any other ideas?
Now I can do a second version with the Hiawatha logo; it will take 15 mins. with a new Photoshop layer. The packaging for upload is much longer. Please let’s hear other simmers about this specific request ?

There were many different makings or none through the years. Additionally there were ads and posters put out that sometimes had markings that were never on any locomotive so I say go with what you like.

Hi all,

The Maroon-orange MILW A and B units have been uploaded to the Library RWA...

This upload is a most typical version of the EDM F3 A and B units in the distinctive maroon and orange paint scheme.

My next creation will be a variant of the maroon-orange locomotive with the famous Hiawatha herald and the B-unit will have the ''the MILWAUKEE road'' inscription on the body side.

Ciao and enjoy my three creations. Bernard

I have a problem - The downloads result in only the Gray with orange banding. The body textures for the other 2 versions are the same as the Gray/Orange.
Is it only me ?

Hi John,
Bizarre !!! On my set up all is fine but one is never without unpredictable surprise. Later on today, I shall investigate. Sorry for this unfortunate problem.

Please, a plea to anyone with similar issues, do tell …,

After all, could the problem be with your scenario setting be for “winter” operations?

I always try new items in the Academy "test" loop never a scenario.

Edit :
Here's what I get Front to rear F3a gray-orange, F3a Black-orange and F3a Maroon-orange as you can see all the same. It looks to me as if the Black-Orange and the Maroon-Orange body.nm and .nmc files have not got through the packing procedure.

,

Yes! a stupid oversight; it was on my DoList before uploading to the Library, but **!!bang!!** !*hp*!

The easy fix:
1. in the Textures Folder, copy TWICE the following .geopcdx file : Hood_nmc
2. rename Hood_nmc to 1) Hood_nm and 2) Hood_nm_nmc
3. it should replace the faulty existing files !!*ok*!!

I will update each locomotive folder and re-upload them to the Library.
