Loaded and tested Blackwood Creek Revisited and Fort Kent this morning and they are both opening perfectly well. It does suggest the problem may be with your installation.

I know it is a pretty obvious question, but do you have everything required to run the route?

Essentials;

Sherman Hill
Norfolk Southern Coal District (Penn Coal)
Ohio Steel 2 or
Colton & Northern

Non essential are;

Barnez – The Racetrack – MiJack loading cranes
DTG Feather River – some buildings
NewYorkNewHaven – some buildings
VNHRR/WVN – conveyor details

Well before doing anything drastic with the base installation of Train Sim Classic (like verifying) I would first off try running, then if no good, uninstalling then reinstalling the essential routes...it seems odd that Fort Kent would do the same thing as Blackwood and maybe you have a corrupted installation of one of the routes.

I have the needed assets and it crashes and does not open. I have been fighting this for quite some time. Fort Kent also crashes. It may be installation related but there may be corrupted assets in both of those routes. I have reinstalled these routes at least 2 times with the same results.

I already tried reinstalling fort kent, the same thing happened. I suppose I could try the other four, but I'm gonna backup the game first

EDIT: Also, AmericanSteam, I tried reinstalling the route today, I got this message after trying to load it:

I was making a joke. Sorry. What scenario are you trying to open?

A blank scenario I created. Trouble is, I've got the error before without creating said scenario. And it doesn't explain why the game just crashes

Little update: I loaded all the required routes for Blackwood creek, all of them load without any issues. This means those four routes aren’t the problem.

Well that is a positive !!*ok*!!

Another possibility is a corruption in one of the non essential downloads. Vague, I know, but I have had problems with that before where an outdated file just stopped a route from loading. I solved that one by removing it completely (well, that seemed to be the solution as it worked).

"... used assets from
Barnez – The Racetrack – MiJack loading cranes
DTG Feather River – some buildings
NewYorkNewHaven – some buildings
VNHRR/WVN – conveyor details
There may be the odd item from Donner Pass
None of the above are critical but make sense if you have them, it will work without them."

Normally the route would just produce a milk bottle missing asset marker if the asset wasn't there. If it is there, however, and is corrupted, it will attempt to load that asset and could throw a wobbly...Like I said, a vague possibility.

Not to throw another wrench out there, but the buildings from the Bessemer route don't show up for me. I have the original payware version of the Bessemer, do I need the freeware version?
