GP38-2

Why is the GP38-2 such a mess? I'm just looking for a high headlight version with numbers on the side of the cab. I have a decal I can use for the railroad sign as long as it's not like the one from The Racetrack that has a decal that blocks mine. Anybody have any suggestions?

Do you find the loco from Racetrack easier to repaint ?
Wouldn't it help to move your decal a bit more outside so that your decal covers the original decal (now with a transparent texture) ?

You could possibly edit the shape file with TSTools like I have in the past to eliminate stuff like this or modify the size of a fuel tank or something else. I have not worked with this model in years so this is just from a quick look. In the section <SourceLToPTransform>, line 26 is logos, the directory name for what each of these lines do can be found in <TransformName> two sections below. Change all the 1.0000000 to 0.0000000 and it should eliminate all the decals but may also get rid of the numbers as well which may need to manually painted in or child decals placed. Like I noted, I have not worked with this model in years.
