This will be 2 units included in a pack on the "Marketplace", whatever that is. DTM also announced the release here: https://www.facebook.com/Digitaltrainmodel. The units have been sent to DTG for review, and they will be out very very soon.

Sorry for the delay folks, it was on me. Between fixes for the horns, physics and the brakes, plus full month where I just decided to let the project rest, we didn't get this out fast at all. On to the brakes and physics; a special thanks to cnwfan for all his work to fold, spindle and mutilate the scripting so we can get something similar to Electric Hold in both the U34CH and the Cab Car. Frankly, it gets the job done. You will be able to make a service application, pull the brake back to "initial reduction" or "hold lapped" and the unit will maintain the application without losing brake line pressure until you release. As noted previously - Electric Hold was the 'thing' that makes this unit a game changer in train handling out on the New York Division. This will get you look at your air gauge and to plan ahead before your do your station stops. It's pretty fun to try and master.

Let's do some pictures:

So what do you get?:
1. New Horns, the horns are both SU3L but one is from a retired cab car and the other from a 1970 SOO locomotive. I did the sound and it gets the job done.
2. New Braking system that emulates the Electric Hold ( Lap)
3. Improved physics that add weight to the coaches.
4. Place holder "rings" for the NJT Dot Logo that will be available in a separate download.
5. Wheel squeal removed

It's my understanding this will be $5.99, in the market place with the dependency being the NJT Transit U34CH.

I still could not get OpenRailers very cool coach sounds in the unit - I hope he can hook us up in the near future.

Thanks to everyone for their advice, assistance and time to make this happen. Really without the help from the Pullman Museum and the United Railroad Historical Society of NJ we would not have these coaches and the cab interiors - that was a big deal. I spent two years on this project with all the research and beta testing. Its a darn shame I don't know how to make these models, but I am a fair route builder. I did EVERYTHING I could to get Erie Lackawanna as DLC and came up short. I will not forgive New Jersey Transit for their lack of "historical perspective" and preventing these 2 units from being in the original steam package. I am sure you all understand.

Lastly, thanks to DTM for taking this on and putting the 100s of hours into this project. !*salute*!

Sorry for the very late reply. I know how exactly to get my coach sounds and my 2-part horns working in this project. Been very occupied with senior year of college lately.

UPDATE: 16 APRIL 2021

The EL - NJDOT and the Unbranded units are in QC at Dovetail as I type this.
These 2 units included the updated physics and sounds and the beautiful "Blue Bird" paint scheme.

I don't have an eta - and I will post here any new information I have once I get it.

Thank you Schnauza! When we see how this shakes out, I would love another review but done on the Bergen.

That's good to hear. I hope the new horns are also 2-part, as the 3-parts didn't turn out good

They are not up to "sound mod guy" level but they are pretty good. Cab is slightly different as that was an un refurbed SU3L from a comet salvaged in California. The U34CH horn is from a 40 year old SOO unit. The units were blown manual with compressed air. I got 3.5 seconds before the loop. Bottom line is I paid for the recordings and mixed it myself. I am not a pro. But compared to what came out on the first go around, its awesome!

I'm praying that the NJT model actually gets the fixes.
Doors have no bell and are silent. I sent the sound it didn't get in.

And Howard - you in particular! I just watched Schnauzahpowahz's new video - he totally appreciates what you did with the physics. And he heaps praise on my efforts. And you know I and my Dad appreciate to. This is as close as we can get without it being 1974. I did EVERYHING in my power to make sure the correct and final version we did was uploaded. I am so relieved that it did. Unfortunately the NJT model didn't get the upgraded programming. Its cool that everyone will get to ride your work, ok, OUR work. I cannot believe that I held on for 2 years, emailing every month to get a status report.

To whoever, that got DTG to pick up this dropped ball and get it released in under 2 months - Thank you too!

NOW, at last, we can have a work shop scenario with EL gear on it.

For some unknown reason am unable to place these in any route/scenario. I downloaded the U34CH and the coach pack from Steam. I added the decals as well. The GE U34CH shows in the DTM folder. When in the editor the U34CH EL and unbranded versions show in the drop down menu for locomotives. The U34CH EL shows in the drop down consist menu. When trying to place these in any route/scenario they do not show. No audible clank" noise is heard when placing. This happens in Free Roam and Standard for all routes that I have tested. What I have done so far, I have deleted the DTM U34CH folder and re-installed, tried it with and without the decals, Cleared the cache before and after every attempt. Any help is appreciated. All other assets work as expected. I have attached the screen shots of the folders in question.

Real quick like without investigation I already discovered for some reason you need to have the NJT loco ticked as well as the EL one for it to show up.

I don't know who beta tested this thing but just a quick look at the bin file there is all kinds of references to the NJT loco that probably don't have to be there since it seems like the EL one (again a quick look) has everything you need for the thing to show up. However since computers only look where you tell them to look they are looking for the NJT model.
