Double to Single Track Signal Setup

Hey, all you signal Guru's out there, I am in need of assistance. Have I got these signals set up correctly? I have scrounged the internet time and time again, but I have never found any tutorials on signaling in this game. Honestly, I've never done any major route work, and never done any signaling, and I just don't know what I'm doing.

Hi,

That looks *almost* correct. I would recommend one adjustment: place the far links (1, 2, ...) of all signals before the home (zero) link of the signal in the opposing direction. That way a train stopped on the siding won't come to rest on the opposing signal's far link, which can cause issues with train meets.

Bransford Junction is interesting. The block is one of the longest i have ever made.

And that is 6 signals. 2 In this shot and 2 Each for the Riverside Sub and the Northtown Sub.

Here is Waterton Junction. It is "experimental" to say the least. I have the manual Semaphores with along with the signal blocks acting as the other Interlocking.

Here is Roundhouse Junction. This is the mainline Coming into the RWA.

Then there is this Control Point here alongside the old yard. There is another signal protecting the commuter main.

And just think, all those signals are within a mile of each other. Its a crazy setup but (sofar) it works. I don't know any other person (besides Bligh) who uses actual signals for diamonds.

I was trying to figure out how to signal a crossing and saw this and want to confirm if this is the best way to do so. Looking at your crossing there's a 2 head with 4 tracks signal, and you put 1 and 2 on one track with 3 and 4 on the next track. Using this same method on each of the other tracks will give the proper signals. Seeing how there are either very outdated or no tutorials on the American signals and those that have figured out the Railworks secrets are doing just that, keeping the secret! Am I close to figuring out what you did with the crossing?

I am not sure whether you mix signals and xings.
The signals are set as in these 3 examples, you must set a total of at least 10 signals here.

With xings you don't have links in one direction on the track and only links on the tracks which are crossing the road are necessary.

IIRC I was trying to experiment with an actual interlocking with working signals, that way AI trains would be able to wait for other AI trains as background movement. Sadly I do not have this variant of RWA anymore. TMK I've only ever seen this really done on the B&LE route. Back when this route released knowledge on making an actual interlocking wasn't really being looked into, so instead it was opted to make the interlocking semaphores as a pseudo grade crossing, meaning it only worked visibly and not functionally.

It's by far the easiest way to do so by making it a grade crossing, rather than with actual working signals, however, the latter CAN be done if you so desire.

Oh and Kris, the yellow boxes are the grade crossing markers.
